Here's the deal AFR 165's 61cc, 58cc, whats the difference? Can bolt on either without notching my pistons right? Finally, my car is in getting paint ed so I am getting AFR's and a cam put in by my uncle, I dont want to spend 600 for a 24# mass air kit and then pay for labor when I can do it myself....Will the car run ok until I get it home and put in the mass air, or will the map sensor totally screw it up? Sorry for the long Q's by the way its an 88GT s.d. Thanks

The 61cc and 58cc are the chamber sizes, the smaller the chamber the higher the compression. As for notching the pistons it depends on your cam. And i dont know much about speed density so ill let someone else answer the question about the MAF

the car will run like *** with the speed density setup. i recomend swaping to mass air before hand. as stated before the cc is the combustion chamber size, 60cc will give you stock compression ratio. 58cc with give you a slight bump (about .2).

get stud mounts, easier to adjust. Unless you want to reuse you stockers(those are pedestal) So you are getting a cam or not?

I just swaped from SD to MAF and it was easy, took a couple days, but there are a lot of peices you have to get. I have alittle know how of doing it on the cheap if you are interested.

Listen Im getting so dang excited because I havent seen my car in 8mos, some may remember but my uncle has it in Tulsa at his shop, and when he took it in Nov. I said to keep it until may bc of the cold Iowa winter and he is painting it now, so im sending the parts to him but he is having someone do the mass air, I guess he can do it but I fig maybe I could get away with hauling it back and doing it here but he will want to run it after installing the heads and cam, and i dont want it to get ****** up
