Default rear end

when i converted to a 5.0 in my 94 v6 i left my v6 rearend in the car. I need to get an 8.8 inch rearend. So my question is, if i get a rear end out of a fox body will it fit? And if it does, can i get the axles out of my v6 rearend that have the disc brakes and put them in the 8.8 ?

the sn95 has a longer rear end, stick with the sn95 for sure. then you will still have the correct bolt pattern as well.

actually the only thing that makes the rear end wider on the sn-95 carsare the axles. they are 3/4'" longer. the fox body guys often use sn95 axles on their cars to use the rear disc brake setup. they just have to use a different offset wheel. the axles themselves on the sn95 cars are all the same length, diameter, and spline size no matter if it is a 7.5 or an 8.8 rear end. just keep the axles and brackets from the 7.5 and use them on the 8.8 to keep the right lug pattern. this is actually the conversion i am doing on my car.
