165 is the highest u can go without notching the pistons. Acoording to adder it's easy to do and n e machine shop can do it. Around here no machine shops do it, so I really don't agree. They only make one size track heat head, unless it's the ported version which is a 185 instead of a 170. Mine are 170

Yo, u just sound like ur tryin to pick a fight. I'm not so sure in ur competence. Have u ever actually notched a piston adder? Cause last time I asked that u never answered. Don't talk about things u don't know about.

i hate to sound like a padawan and keep picking your brain so sorry and thank you now to getthatout of the way lol. so you have to forge ? or board out the pistons 1st to put on a 185 ................ and where do you then a mechanic can do this ?

no u have to notch the piston for valve clearance. u actually cut out a portion of the top of the piston. a mechanic won't do it. u have to go to a machine shop. I'm sure u can find one to do it, atleast that's what I thought before I moved to Fla. In georgia I know of shops that will, but central florida is void of n e good machine shops.

and yes.. ive done 8 of them... why else would I know where to buy the tool
