Default compression test results

So i managed to test 5 cylinders today and i got these numbers
139
140
142
148
158
i'll do the others tomorrow but are these reasonable for an engine with 217000kms on it?

There's quite a bit of variance, 139 - 158. Did you let the needle bounce 5 times? But as for your compression results, the ones in the 130's are kinda low IMO. Sounds like she could use a rebuild.

you might want to do a wet compression test. squirt a tablespoon worth of oil in the cylinder and see if the numbers substantially improve on those couple low cylinders. if they do, you need rings. if they dont, you need valvetrain work.

what's the reason for the compression test, are you having an issue?

no lol its one of the projects that i have to do for my auto class at school, thought i might as well check my car, the engine seems to run great so no particular reason, also thinking i might not of been cranking the first few cylinders long enough, what should the stock reading be?
