Well i bought some bbk long tubes and they fall to tell you that you will need a engine hoist when installing there crap. I soent 4 hours plus taking off the old pipes and then i couldnt get the new headers on so i gave my car a hard kick to the bumper and said f!@# it so i do not suggest anyone get long tubes a complete waste of time.

I installed the bbk long tubes on my 95 cobra 3 weeks ago. Didn’t think it was a big deal other then the driver side head was very close to the convertible cross member. The biggest PIA was cutting the one tube off the vert cross member and moving it back about 2”. Total install time was around 12 hours (including removing the smog pump, and installing the X pip and cat back)

I always tell novices to stick with shorties!

Yes, remove the motor mount nuts and jack the motor, remove the steering shaft slip it up from the bottom. If you have good jack stands get the car up as high as possible.

I never expected it would be hard to take off the steering shaft.... perhaps you should bring your car to someone who actually has a clue.

the steering shaft slides off. yours may be rusted in place. Try some penetrant.
