Default autometer guage help

my gf bought me 3 autometer c2 guages. I have no idea how to hook these up, and i can't find anyone who knows how. A local shop wants like 500 just to install 3 guages. My gf thinks she waisted her money on them now.

Can someone please help me out by just help me hook the guages up to power so when i turn my headlights on they glow?

Ummm, they didn't come w/ instructions? They are very simple to install and wire. There should be info on their web site in the tech section. http://www.autometer.com/tech_instructions.aspx?sid=1

500 to install three guages? That seems awfully high to me!

+1. The only thing my instructions didn't cover was where to tap into switched power. For that, I ran fuse taps from the fuse box, just using a little common sense. Get some fuse taps...that will simply things greatly.

they are oil pressure, oil temp, and transmission temp.

they said the reason the price was so high was because of the transmission temp and having to drop the transmission and tap the pan for the sensor.

they did not come with any instructions

what kind of wires did everybody use for their guages? It almost seems like they provide the wires, but i didn't recieve those either.

Baawahahahaha... this is comical, read the directions, use the search function, and read Bernies link. If that all fails call AutoMeter. [sm=shades.gif]

You have to buy your own wire. I think I used 14 or 16 gauge wire. (Can't remember) Where did you buy these gauges that they didn't come w/ anything? The link I provided should be enough to wire them up. What's the need for a trans temp gauge?

the guages were bought for me by my girlfriend for my birthday from jegs. They came in original autometer box, butcame with nothing but the guages and brackets to put them in.My idiot friend helped her pick out the guages online. When i told her i would just send the transmission temp, and oil temp guages back and get a fuel pressure and water temp guage she got all pissed. So i said screw it, and now i just what them to just light up even just so she'll get off my back
