Default Need help with passing smog!

So I have a '91 Ford Mustang 5.0 that needs to pass smog. I am close to being broke due to my ex *hes the one that talked me into buying the 5.0 when we were together* getting both of us into a motorcycle accident that nearly killed me *also when we were together.... he got up with some road rash on the knees.... i landed in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks*. so i need to pass smog the cheapest way possible! It is completely stock - for what I know of it - and its an automatic. It has 97k miles on it. My ex told me that I should do a transmission flush... is this a good idea? Basically i need the checklist of things to check for and do to pass smog...now please remember im a 19 year old girl trying to become a nurse.... i dont know anything about cars!!! thanks!

lol.....i spent 2 years out of work from a murdercycle accident , so i hear ya

anyways...tranny flush won't do anything, what state do you live in ? big diff in smog, if you have a visual or just a sniffer

no vis = very ez to pass

basics if you can do it...... set timing to 4* initial (zero if you have to) cali says you have to be staock 10*
make sure it's hot when you take it in....IE: run the ac w/ 87 octane only and drive it HARD
use a bottle of "guaranteed to pass" for about 50 miles b4 you start the hard drive

it'll pass no probs, i almost passed w/ offroad exhaust, no cats and no smog pump

oph yeah....the "i'm a girl" = "post up pics"

yup we're all the same

but i'll help if that counts for something ?????????

the only thing hotter than a mustang is a hot chick driving one[8D]

and since u know u cant pass, i assume u have some kind of sheet of paper with results on it. it should say what failed and what passed.

It does have to pass California smog. The car is stock - but I don't know if this means it needs a service or just an oil change. Another problem is that the check engine light flashes when I drive the car... the ex told me this meant that the oxygen sensors were bad - so i got new ones and my dads going to put them in for me this weekend and give it an oil change for me. Another problem is that the coolant light will come on ... this happens rarely but it will stay on for the length of the drive until you turn the car off - and then back on again it will usually go away. i have checked the coolant fluid *hopefully, thats the fluid that goes into the radiator* and its full. Would the two lights coming on effect the smog check?
