Default x-pipes

I still have the original pipes on my stang from the headers to the mufflers. I want to get rid of the 4 cats. If i go out and buy some x-pipes will they bolt right up with out any problems or am I going to have to have some adapters made. I'm hoping to get a few more horse's out of doing it and I'm hoping it will sound alot more "throatier" . Also can anyone tell me how hard it will be to take those bolts out of the pipe connected to the headers or if there is an easier way to get them out? Thanxs for any help you can give me

They will bolt right on as long as theyre of the OEM style.

Sound and performance will pick up noticeably.

As far as the headers go the OEM style off road pipes only bolt directly up if you have SHORTY headers not longtubes.Although long tubes sound better and make more power down low.

Yup theyre shorties.

But id ditch them.If you dont care about looks get a cheap set of flowtechs for 100 bucks. The stockers are extremely choked off thanks to the piches they put in the the pipes.

O.K. if I would get flowtech headers what kind of x-pipe would I need so that it would bolt to the far end where my flowmaster mufflers are. By the way my 88 stang does have o2 sensors don't they? If they do aren't they in the headers or am I mistaken
