Nope....unfortunately it will not work for those types of problems.....to prevent them....maybe.

Well I got the crossover tube off after work yesterday. Talk about clogged. GOOD LORD. I have to go get some cleaner tonight from the parts store, but just from looking at where it connects to the heads, it is just clogged up with oil/trash. For a hole that my pinky would fit in, there is only like a pinhole opening because of all the trash. I am looking forward to getting it cleaned up, reinstalled, and then seeing how the car runs.

I don't think cleaning mine made any difference in the way the car ran. Let us know if yours runs any different.

Well from what I read, it might solve my slight backfire problem. Here is a link to what I could find out about the system:

Well I got everything cleaned up back together and the car runs great. Pulled the codes though and the 94 is still showing up. And yes, I disconnected my battery for a couple of days to clear the memory. Not sure what else to try if anything. Any thoughts? Here is the description of the code, "Transmission TCC circuit/solenoid problem"

For code 94 you don't have to clear anything....it doesn't get saved in memory.....it's a "real time" test the system does to verify the thermactor is working. The way it works for the test is that the ECM ramps up A/F to a rich state and activates both TAB/TAD solenoids (small solenoids under the EGR solenoid behind the RH strut tower)...and checks both O2's switch back to a lean state (due to the air been injected)......since you only have the problem on one side (driver side). Suggest to check the vacuum lines going to the TAB/TAD solenoids and the lines that activate the bypass and diverter valves.....something as simple as a broken or misplaced line could be causing the code.

Also make sure engine is at op temp, hold the engine @2400 rpms for ~2 minutes, and run the KOER immediately after.
