T-5 Tranny Question
I have a 92 5.0 w/T-5 that is causing me problems. I have read posts about throwout mbearings making a squeaking noise at idle w/ clutch all the way out then stopping when a little pressure is applied. Mine is doing that but it is also making a kind of grinding noise 1st thru 3rd. Once I hit 4th, it stops the noise. Would the throwout bearing be causing this also?

RE: T-5 Tranny Question
it sounds to me like its ur syncros- matter of fact, only way i would tell u anything diff is if iwere there to see it myself, so goin onwhat ur telling us, it is your syncros
n e way...
shop-~1000
BUT... pm 94gtcoupe, hes a good guy, knows alot about t5's, and rebuilds them for cheaper. i can honestly say if i needed that done, and didnt have the confidence to do it myself(personally ill do it myself, because im in school for automotive, and do EVERYTHING myself, but if i didnt...) id comfortably hand it over to him and trust him w. it
