In stock form, your 72' block takes a hydraulic flat tappet cam.

You can however use a hydraulic roller cam IF you use a set of link bar conversion lifters.

you want a roller cam due to their quick ramp speed and you'll be able to use a wider c/l in making it alot more streetable..

heads minimum would be a aluminum heads with atleast a 2.02 valve
cam min. 550-570 lift with a 112 c/l all based on a 1.6 rocker
I would use a reverse dome piston..
those 4 banger springs are a quick fix..I use'em but a nice low 1.70 60 foot ttime is what you want

how much are the lifters?

and why did you say screw the TF cams? there dyno matched to the trick flow heads that im prob getting

trickflow cams are very generic. Running some cheap *** TFS TW heads on a 351w would be silly. You should look into something like a nice set of canfields, maybe even brodix. I myself will be running RHS 200's on mine. However i'm going custom on my cam.

You don't dyno match parts.....you dyno match combos.......anyway, you're talking about parts that are "dyno matched" for 302 engines........not 351's.......
