RE: 331 stroker?
Heres why u avoid dss. my brother in law bought a 347 assembled by them, and spun a bearing one month later, and didn't even drag race it, then got his next one from them, and blew that one up by the end of one summer, he has yet to pull it apart, but he was comin down his road home from a cuise and lost oil press. NOT GOOD, Scat baby

RE: 331 stroker?
DSS only builds stock blocks with upgraded internals for high prices there block and the one that in ur car are no diff they have better internals and a girdle but other then that nothing. Be cheaper to buy a scat 331 kit go to machine shop and save a couple $$$.

The only reason to build a 331 instead of a 347 is to go slower.
347 > 331

im sure fast88 on SBF tech would disagree with you... him and his 306 that runs 9's

as much as people say its BS, 347 stroker kits put too much stress on a stock block.
I would have suggested it if he had an aftermarket block... but i'd never go bigger then 331 on a stock POS

I guess I should stop making 800+ Hp on my stock block 347.
I guess I should stop making 800+ Hp on my stock block 347.
the thought that a stock block is running 800hp is laughable... atleast not without ALOT of structural support

How good is your math?
On a belt driven SCed engine the crank will see the HP with losses to the rear tires and also the power to turn the SC.
If you had 800 produced at the crank, subtract power to turn SC, and then have losses for a C4 what do you think the RWHP would be?
