My hood folded back onto my windshield ;(
Thats pretty much it, sigh. I changed the computer on my mass air meter today cause i'm getting a C&L mass air meter tomorrow and I was testing out my computer....i closed the hood and I guess it didn't latch right cause when I was driving next thing i know the hood of my car just folds back ontop of my car, braking itself, denting the roof of my car, breaking my cowl (the black thing by the wind shield whipers) and the whole back section of where the back of the hood meets the car...sigh =( I am incredibly bumbed out i feel like everything is taking a **** on me I know i'm over reacting but i cannot, CANNOT believe how gd stupid that was...sigh!
Anyway, damn it man ****, grrr. can't believe it, there goes new tranny money =(

that sucks man, was it a stock hood? i'm swapping over to a fiberglass cobra hood and i'm wondering if i should invest in hood pins or not, i'd rather not have them for esthetic reasons, but if FB is prone to do this i think pins would be a wise investment.

Sorry to hear about that man, that is a bummer.
HC, if the new hood has a steel latch like the stock hood you should be okay without pins, it's when the hood has plastic or fiberglass latch area that it rips through and smacks ur windshield.

That sucks man,I had that same thing happen to me but it wasn't my stock hood it was my fiberglass one. I had to have the whole cowl area pulled up because it was completely smashed down. Oddly enough my hood flew completelyoff my car and went in the ditch with very little damage to the hood. I fixed the hood up and went out and bought some hood pins. It doesn't look the greatest but I bought the pins more for a piece of mind then looks. Just my $.02 worth!

It cost about $150 per side but it does depend on how bad yours is. I guess they drill several small holes in your cowl, pull the cowl up to where it's supposed to be, then fill up the holes and sand it out.
