I got 4.11 for christmas and i am now waiting to get them installed... i was checking what i have in there now and the drive shaft spun 3 times for every 2 turns of the tire so what does that mean i have right now???? i am just wondering because i want to know what extreme to what extreme i am going to and how much of a difference it will make.. should make a huge diffrence i think.. so if anyone can tell me what i have now it would be greatly appreciated...

did you count right...that means you have a 1.5 ratio. You 1 complete revolution of you tire, count how many complete revolutions the drive shaft turns. For example a 4.11 the drive shaft will turn a little more than 4 times (4.11 times) for one turn of the tire.

i got 4.11s because i have an 8 inch rear... i have a 67 mustang(in sig)..

no i was responding to bobby... i am sure i counted right though.. me and my friend did it i was under the car and i put tape on the drive shaft and counted three times and told him to stop and he said the tire turned 2 times and we did this like 3 or for times to make sure...

try it the other way around. turn the wheel one time around and count how many times the drive shaft spun and thats it...Hey any thing is posible. If thats the case then when you spin the tire around once then the drive shaft will spin 1 and a half time around.

well if its a manual trans then the drive shaft wont spin. IF its auto its ok as long as its not in park. just as long as the drive shaft spins your ok...
