My honda has 255K on it and it is still going strong. I would like to retire the P.O.S. but it just wont friggin die...

I remember one of the mags ( MM and FF or one of them) stating that the 5.0 with the highest true mileage that they ever encountered was around 600K miles. I have seen a 338K in person. In terms of what I would buy, I'd buy a 200K 5.0 if it was clean as stated above. These things go through all the use and abuse in the world. It is really funny when you take into context when the Toyota owner goes, my car is reliable, it has made it to 130K miles and still going strong

i love my fox and it has about 189k miles on it and im never selling it either. if anything ever happens to it, im just gonna drop a 351 in it. but i love my car too much to get rid of it.

I had a 95 f.150 that had 154k when i bought it and i beat the beJezus out of it, blew a head gasket at 180 somethinand it still road strong for about 10k more miles. Sold it though, bought a 02 6 cyl f.150. I miss the old bird too, id almost trade my new one for my old one in the same condition.

2300's are great little motors, they will last forever. i had a 300 I-6 in a E-150 van with 365k and only pulled it because we popped a radiator hose in chicago traffic and it overheated. current motor in that van has 200k on it and starts every damn time. still the original read end with over a half a million on it[8D]
