hey im trying to figure out what kind of speedo gear i need to buy to fix my speedometer. i pulled out the gear and its an orange gear with 19 teeth. on a web site i was reading out how to do this it gave me this formula (number of drive shaft teeth * axle ratio * tire revs per mile) / 1000.......so i pluged in my stuff. ( 19* 4.10*786)/1000= 61.2294. is this right. i need a 61 tooth gear?? do they even make that ****. this cant be righ!

the 19 is on your driven gear. you need to know how many teeth are on your drive gear. what year is your car and what transmission do you have?

you probably should have a 7 or 8 tooth drive gear??

it a 95 with an aode. where is the drive gear?

You need a white 23 tooth gear. It's dead on for 3.55s, as close as you'll get with 3.73s and 4.10s without changing the drive gear. Personally, I didn't care that much and it's close enough for me

can you get one at like auto zone or do you have to order it?

I dont know if you can get it from autozone. i ordered mine online for like 11 bucks
