I am running a Edelbrock mech fuel pump on my carbed 302, I have an8 ss line running from the rear fuel cell up to the pump, then a inline Earls filter then into my carb. Everything seems to work fine and has for the past few seasons, but I have always had this problem, if I let the car sit for a day or so, the fuel goes back to the cell, and it takes me forever to pump the fuel back up, putting wear on the motor and my starter. Before I get flamed by posts to switch to a electric pump, I have thought about that and am leaning that way, but I would rather hear options with what I have currently, I have wondered if a inline check valve might do the trick or not, anyway any help would be great

go with your initial thought and get an electric one...you will not be disappointed

What is happening in your current situation.... is exactly what happens. Get used to it or get an electric pump. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
