Default drag suspension

i have 4 clyinder springs all the way around. i have an opertunity to get front LX 5.0 springs from a 86 mustang. would they be better on the front with the 4cylinders on the back for drag racing. or is 4 cyl all way round better?

alright dick[8D] i have dial up and am tryin to fix my own car issues right now, lol

ok you want a stiff spring in the rear and a soft spring in the front.

stiff in the rear so that the car doesnt absorb your power into the suspension, so it simply shoves it all at the ground as hard as possible, w/out wheel hop.

and soft upfront you want it soft, so that the front springs up easy-transfering weight

this is where the 4banger springs come in to play. up front, they are made for a lighter motor, so they are 1. softer to carry less weight and 2. when put under a v8 theyre compressed more, causing them to be kinda preloaded... think of it as a rubber band stretched out... just chillin, it goes up and down... feel how hard it goes when it goes up... now hold it down... and let it up... alot harder right? same concept.

i agree w. above v8 springs rear, and 4bangers up front( this is my set up)

hope i helped
