whats up guys? just bought my first 5.0, could use alittle help?
hey,
i have other mustangs 1967 fastback and 1971 mach 1, but i just resently bought a 1989 gt. its a 5 speed, e303 cam, gt40 heads 1.72 svo rockers, bbk fenderwell CAI, msd 6al box caprotor and coil, ford racing 9mm wires, and pulleys, the battery is relocated in the back, been lowered 2 maby more??? there baby blue coils front and rear (if anyboy knows) lakewood drag struts up front kyb in rear, corba 17 x 9.5 in front and rear.the car has 72,000 and 12,000 on motor. stock upper and lower manifold injectors and fule pump. just put in a new stock fule regulator ( that was fun)
Any suggestons on upgrades?
Any guess on horsepower?
its my daily driver but i want to so some up grades.

Im gonna say since you already have ok heads and a new cam you should get a new intake manifold to complete the package(at thevery leastan explorer intake).A new fuel pump is a good idea also,especially if your gonna keep modding the car. If you know the car still has stock gears some 3.73 gears would give it a good kick.

i bought the 89 gt for $4,500 body is all original and stright original white paint. looks great i'll get some pic's. plans on buying a set of weld draglites 15x 6 in front and 15x 9.5 with m/t slicks for $400 used wheels new slicks.

yoursprings are bbk, they dropped my car like a 1 1/2, and def. get a better upper and lower intake, injectors, tb, and fuel pump...for power just like dimebag,i would say mid/high 13's

If those BBK springs are drag launch springs, you could bo on your way. Does it have aftermarket upper and lower control arms? Sub-frame connectors? If it does, with a good set of slicks, I could see that car going really low 13's with a good driver.
If it doesn't have upper/lower control arms and subframe connectors, put those things on your list to finish off the suspension.
