RE: 3.73 3.55 VS Stock Gears
i'll tell ya right now u want a higher gearing you will DEFINATELY notice if you drive a considerable amount of miles on the highway.
i'm riding 4.10's and i can even tell when driving in the city.
my buddy rides 3.73's and its not as bad in the city but still pretty harsh on gas on the highways
you need to decide what your main driving arrangements are, recreational or not
if you drive a lot on the highway, save urself the gas and stick to a lower gearing
if your lookin for some fun, and a hella takeoff, get them bigger gears!

RE: 3.73 3.55 VS Stock Gears
Anybody running 4.10's in their auto? I'm debating 3.73 or 4.10 it's a daily driver but I want it to be a 12 second car so gearing may be sacrificed as long as I don't hit my top speed before the end of the track lol!

RE: 3.73 3.55 VS Stock Gears
I'm probably going to go with 4.10's, I want the car to be fast more than anything... Just wanted some opinions of people with an AOD and 4.10's and how the car drives.

I'm my car the stock gears 2.73.s were so bad I only needed 1,2,3 gear never used 4,5 gears were so low. With the 3.73 I now use all 5 gears and at 70 mph in 5 gears rpms are around 2,200 "No complaints they fell just right!"

RE: 3.73 3.55 VS Stock Gears
3.73's and a 11/12 sec car would prob be best. 1st gear is real short w/ 4.10's and ya got to hook to make them work. u need to get the aod shift points changed since it shifts weird after those tall gears.
