I am wondering how much of a difference in stock gears is the 3.73 going to be on the highway... i want more power and am going with gears but am i sacrificing my car if i want to go or a road trip. will the rpm be too high and waste all my fuel... or will it be ok?
If you do alot of highway driving and you are concerned about gas mileage, 3.55's or 3.73's would be a good option. Obviously, the 3.73's are going to have more low end pull but IMO depending on what gears you have in the car now it might not be worth swapping. If you had 3.27's in there, I wouldnt even waste the money.
there ya go lol im pretty sure that M is 2.73's. NO GOOD. Even 3.55's will make a good difference. I went from 2.73's to 3.90's and there was a nice difference. To be honest, I didnt even notice a gas milege drop while driving in the city, I dont take her on the highway that much at all so I wont comment on that.
