dont know much about flowtech. but have heard sucky things about mac.
and i knos shortied are a lot easier to put on.
just go with either summit or bbk. there both good and summits are good AND really cheap.
sorry i dont know the answer for the unequal/equal differences.
but +1 for the search.

It all depends on what your intentions for the car are. Is it a dedicated street car or racer? If it's a racer equal length will create more power in the band than shortys but if it's mostly for day to day use shorty's will be fine. Don't go with long tubes unless you're gonna be racing alot.

I run BBK equal lengths. Unequals are usually easier to install. Equals supposedly give better exhaust flow.

well the difference between equal and unequal shoerties are: the length on each 15/8" (just an example) pipe taht goes to the collecteor are equal in length. unequal are easier to install becuase of the extra "room" i guess you could say.

this one is unequal, all the single pipes from the block are unequal in length.

these are equal length, you can see the difference and why it will be harder to install.

To dispell any mis-leading rumors there is nothing wrong with full length for everyday use. The only real issue is that with a basically un-modified engine there is the need for a little more exhaust back pressure, a cat back system would offer what you need with a full length if you desired that. BBK makes a decent product both full and shorty as well as MAC. Shorties will build more midrange on a slightly modified to basically stock engine.
