Default Are the optima batterys worth the money

I'm thinking with going with an optima battery(red top) but was wondering if they are everything they claim to be?
These wal-mart EVERSTART are junk!!

My friend put one in his 67 GTO, it was the only battery that had enough power to crank the engine.

I love the crappy Wal-Mart batteries! They come with a 3 year warrantee and they always die within those three years so once you buy one, you'll never pay for a battery ever again!

i hear they are the BEST, what makes em soo good besides they dont leak and have a deep cycle, but they dont have near the cranking amps as some others? what the difference between red and yellow top? i dont undertsnd how they have more power, i thoght power was cranking amps? thanks a lot

Good point but I don't have the receipt anymore. I put it in a little plactic pocket that was on the side of the battery thinking it was a good place for me not to lose it and remember where it was at......well guess what....the damn thing started leaking battery acid from the top and ate away the reciept[sm=badbadbad.gif]
