Default Possible rocker problem

Argh, problems just dont stop. OK, it seems like my car is having some roller rocker issues, again. I think maybe the rockers arent closing all the way on the drivers side, as more visible exhaust comes out there, especially during warm up. It is firing on all cylinders, but I hear a faint ticking noise from the valve cover. Is it possible that the springs are not closing the valves all the way but combustion is still taking place?

No, they're crane roller rockers. If they were loose, wouldnt they stay closed, or open all the time? I was thinking maybe we torqued them down too much and the springs cant close them all the way or in time.

are you using pedestal mounted rockers or stud mounted ones??? you can't really overtighten pedestal ones unless the pushrod length is incorrect but you can overtighten stud mounted ones but if you're hearing a slight ticking, that means the rockers are loose, not too tight. loose rockers will not keep the valves open as they won't be pushing on the springs at all when the lifter is on the base circle of the cam. loose rockers do change the duration figures of the cam just a bit though making the valve open later and close sooner.

Springs are new, they are pedestal mount. Shiz, I already went through once and retorqued them all after driving for awhile. I hope none of them are gummed up from being loose.
