Default MAF??

i bought an 88 gt and the guy had one of those ****ty little cone filters on it...what do i need to put on a MAF sensor and all that good stuff

most mustang places sll conversion lits for around 500.00 comes with the meter and wiring and instructions on how to splice in to the ecm harness

mustangs unlimited sells a kit with boot, meter mounting hardware and wire harnes for 529.00 depending on what you want the meter calibrated for based on injectors kit is by pro-M racing also there is a kit they sell for 479 by interactive systems calibrated for 19lbs injectors

So Adder does that mean if you have a speed density car like my '87 GT 5speed you wouldnt do the convert if I were wanting to do an h/c/i or what, just curious?

Let's put it this way... He converted his Cobra from mass air to speed density.

Most people convert to maf. because they say it easier to change & mod their 5.0s. Is this not true or does it depend on how far you go in your mods?

I guess it depends on what your plans are. In Adder's case, he even replaced the computer with a Megasquirt system. But many people do indeed change from SD to MAF.

If I plan on putting h/c/i, will the maf conversion be necessary? Looking for a 300-350hp dd. any suggestions? Sorry for stealing the thread.

no, you dont need to.. but you will need to find someone who can tune your SD for you
