how nasty are solid motormounts?

I'm looking for motormounts for my 5.0,

how nasty of a ride will solid motormounts make on a street car? is it a bad idea to run solid mounts on a street car?

ok, cuz Ive seen them go for 30ish bucks on ebay and other places online, and OEM style ones are 40 each... WTF?

the solid ones don't have therubber molded inserts....they are just cut, bent and welded pieces of metal...cheaper to make

for comfort and strength...i'd get mounts for a vert if ya don't go solid

I though vert mounts set the engine up an inch higher... or is it an inch lower?

i would assume lower...it has less rubber

ok, thanks man, I need to snag a set soon regardless, that 5.0 has to go into that car...

ive got solids from blue oval industries off of ebay some thing like 40$ no siginificant vibrations imo plus the front end feels alot stiffer in the vert nox
