Default $75 BBK catted H pipe

Might be picking one up tonight. Any considerations in swapping it in? Will it pass emissions (assuming it passed before)? Will the thermactor pipe bolt right in?Might I find it too loud? Will I lose torque? Thanks, fellas.

if ur stocker dosnt pass, keep it, buy this one, and gut the cats on the stocker.

run the bbk to pass emission, and run the stocker for louder sound (it dosnt sound right but it makes sense lol)

Thanks, 93. It passes no problem with the stock cats on. I was just wondering if it is less likely to pass with the BBK cats.

Now that is a sweet deal man. It should help your perfomance out a little bit. It should still pass emissions also, I would still keep the stock h pipe.

I just put a BBK h-pipe on mine replacing the stock h-pipe after 100+k miles and there was a very noticible difference both power and sound. The sound first is awesome. I've got a mac exhaust on it right now and had my wife take it up the street. I could hear her getting on it a mile away from the house, I was rolling. Inside, it's louder, but notcrazy. Performance, I noticed a big difference over 2k rpms, definitely seemed to go through the gears faster. Definitely do it though.

Thanks for the replies, fellas. Hey Goat, glad to hear that you noticed a difference. Do you have any other mods? Thanks again.

Hey Twisted, I've got almost the same setup as yours. I've got a 5sp, 3.55's, underdrive pullies, k&n filter, bbk h-pipe, mac exhaust, and that's about it. My timing's at 12 deg, and have a 180 deg thermostate. Pretty standard stuff. It's worth it man, wait until you hear the difference. If you've got the stocker on there, it will be a good change.

Thanks, Goat. Unfortunately, someone beat me to the sale. The seller was being lazy about taking the pipe off of the car, and some chump ran in and bought the whole car last night. Oh well. I'm still gonna get an h pipe though...it'll just cost hundreds more[:@]. Thanks anyway, fellas.

That sucks. Keep looking out for one, you'll definitely like it. Hope you're able to find one. I actually mine up lightly used from someone on this site.
