Default Locking Header Bolts

Hey,

I was looking for headers and locking header bolts on summit and don't know which bolts I should get.
These are the ones I'm talking about:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku Part # STG-8933
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku Part # STG-8913

From what I can see, the only difference is the underhead length. Which should I get?

Also, I was looking at the Mr. Gasket header gaskets. I'm guessing they'll be good but want to make sure.

My car is an '87 GT .

If "double hex head" means 12-pt, you don't want those. I was considering a set of stainless stage 8's, but I heard that you can't use the locks on all the primaries due to clearance. I figured if I can't use a few, I may as well not use any. I went with stainless ARP's (non-lockers) for about $50 less. My car isn't a daily, but after 1500 miles they haven't backed off. I figure I can re-torque every spring.

ARP's (I screwed up and got 12 pointers... Get the 6s)

Also, these are the gaskets you want:

I haven't heard about people not being able to use locking bolts. Anyone on here who actually used some and can tell whether or not that's true? I'm just wondering because I dont want to have to retighten them all the time if I don't have to.

drill holes thru the heads of the bolts and use small stainless wire to tie them together in pairs. it will cost you virtually no money and the WILL not come loose

Just got done putting my headers, catted x,mufflers,cat-back on. I used the ford locking header bolts, I'm still trying to get all the locks on. The bolts to the front of the motor are easy, but putting the locks on as you go toward the firewall is a ***** For length I went with 1" under header, they worked well with the 3/8" bbk header flanges.
