lol does your new computer flash "danger to manifold" and then your floor pan falls out?
ROFL, I seariously could make it flash some stupid message at 6,000 rpm, was thinking same thing, ROFL

I really just brushed the surface on what can be displayed and done with current set-up
I still might add some kind of 6,000 rpm pop-up shift warning or something.
You can set it up to give warnings if pretty much any parameter goes out of set limits

Tweecer should do same thing. Not sure how its software works
but I think it does same stuff.

Look on ebay for:

Fujitsu LT C-500 tablet pc ...... or ...... Fujitsu LT P-600 tablet pc.
C-500 is 500mhz celeron
P-600 is 600mhz P3

Make sure it has Windows 2000 already installed and has the "outdoor" screen
make sure they verify it has the "outdoor" screen.

They pop up on ebay fairly regular for $200-400. I saw 2 or 3 listed right now.

Try and wait and find one in good condition with all the accessories
ie, IR keyboard and power supply, 15gig HD and 256mg ram.

Use a "universal laptop car power adaptor" and a USB to serial port adaptor.
They crash every now and then from Windows 2000 but not too bad.

See the link for the suction cup mount I posted, looks like that should
stick to dash perfect for mounting where pictured.

No XP, thats why you need to make sure it has Windows 2000
they came with Windows 98 orginally, Win 2k will run all the new XP style programs
and is fairly stable.

If Tweecer can see oil pressure, you could display it.
The AEM has aux inputs that I could feed it into, since Tweecer is a piggy back
system I dont know how that would work.

Got her mounted, works like a charm
does not block vision at all and can see as easy as looking at factory gauges.

Could easily hide the wire too, running down the defrost openings

http://www.mountinginnovations.com/

glued a mounting plate with ball to back of tablet pc.

I want to get longer arm too, so I can mount it a little lower and more forward
with suction cups in same place.
