T5 fluid
What type of fluid and how much does my 1994 5 speed take? I believe this is the T5 transmission?
Going to change it tomorrow... any hints or tips to doing it? Can I take off the shifter and fill it through there?
Not sure when it was done last, will it shift any smoother?
Thanks!

RE: T5 fluid
ok yes its a T-5, it takes ATF fluid any from your local wal-mart is fine, the best is from Royal Purple or GM syncromesh,
to fill jack up the front of you car, unplug the TOP hole and lower car, fill thru the shifter till it starts comeing out the hole, then plug the hole again and you're ready to go
course theres other ways but this is how I did it since its easy to take off the shifter [8D]

RE: T5 fluid
Mercon III is the minimum I have been told and use Mercon V has better heat properties. All you will need is 2 if I remember correctly. Yes you can remove the shifter and fill it from there, just leave the fill plug (the one closer to the top) out and when your putting in the second one go slow till it starts to come out.
