Not the lower intake. The bottom of the UPPER intake has a little port where the egr and vaccum lines connect into.

ok this is what i understand,

I should remove the upper intake manifold, and there is a hole in the lower intake manifold that needs to be plugged? Is this correct?

you don't absolutely have to plug this other hole, but it's a good idea to do it. if you remove the upper intake, you will see a small round hole about the size of a nickel in both it and the lower in the middle of the intake ports that is all black with soot. this is the hole that the exhaust gas passes through to go up thru the upper intake to the EGR valve where it gets added back to the fresh intake air charge when the EGR valve opens. it's easier to plug it in the bottom side of the upper intake if you ask me.
