Default Buying t-5

Well my cousins project 87GT was scrapped now he has a nice new fox but had the 87 gutted and everything ripped out cept interior

i want to purchase his t-5

he said 200 for just tranny and 250 for fly wheel clutch shifter and bell housing...

he said if 2nd is shifted fast it grinds... no biggie i would def rebuilt it either before i do teh t-5 swap or shortly after i do it

But to get to the point, last time i was at his house the tranny was just sitting outside and i know where i am it has rained quite a few times... would rain affect the tranny if it was just sitting out in it? idk if it has been there but i assume it hsa since it was just sitting there day i came buy.... nothing covering it... the clutch and fly wheel are in his garage i think, its a KC clutch 5k miles and stock 50oz fly wheel

the housing is aluminum so maybe some pitting might occur nothing serious, wait was the opening for the shifter left open? was it left on the dirt/grass or concrete?

dont re-use the clutch, buy a new one.resurface the fly wheel. i would say since your rebuilding the tranny there is no problem with it being in the rain. but i would deff. take it inside. you might want to check the shifter, i would guess it doesnt like rain too much.
