Default driveshaft removal

How do you remove the driveshaft from the tranny?

one more....

how does the shifter come out of the cab(w/o ruining the boot)

drive shart bolts in at the diff. and the shaft itself will slip out the back of the tranny.

for the shifter, you take off your bezel, boot, dust cover, unbolt base from tranny, make sure your in N and put straight up.

anyone know the bolt size of the 4 bolts in the back of the driveshaft? i know they are doublehex? cause they look like hex bolts with more teeth (sorry i dont know the proper term) but i dont want to go without the right tool. im replacing mine with an aluminum one and new ujoints.

Might need some heat at the rear end!! We broke 2 Craftsman Sockets and bet a Craftsman wrench completelt in half! Heated it up and used a impact and they came out finally!!

Never heard of it being that hard before. Must have been one strong dude to tighten them or they were rusted.
