Default spool or not?

hey guys i was wondering if you guys think i should run a spool or not. the main purpose of this car is sumer use only and for drag strip and maybe 2 nights a week during the summer only just for crusing. if not what should i use? i will be droping in a axle kit such as the moser 5 lug 33-35 spline with c-clip eliminator and most likely 4.10 gears.

what do you guys think, thanks all

If not a daily driver a spool is great, i run one. If installed right c-clips are fine. If they do leak most of the time you can put some fresh RTV in there and be alright.

I'd say get a locker. They arent as bad on turns as a spool is. I have a 9.975 inch detrioit locker w/ 4.11s in my Chevelle. Even lockers are a bit harsh on turns. I can notice the difference in how it takes turnswith locker, its not as smooth.

ok one vote for locker and many for spool, i dunno here. but i will be trying the spool and if i dislike it i will be removing it. but i doubt i will be removing it. i have ridden in a buddy's 550hp 454 camaro with a full spool and well i liked it in that car, so i wasnt sure if anything would be different for the ford rear end but i doubt it. it didnt seem to bad when in the camaro.

I think it might depend on the speed ur taking turns as well, obviously... I completely redid the suspension in my chevelle so i was taking pretty tight turns at about 40-50. I like to beat on it.

well this cars main purpose will be drag and minor street use. so i dont think i am to worried about turns. and i will be going up with the splines for the power and stress the spool will put on them, so no worry there.
