not sure on the cost but i had to take off my entire dash off to change my heater core once and was it a pain in the ****!! if you replace the dash you'll have to replace the center console too i would pay someone.

It's not that hard of a job if you have any mech skills. Just remember where all your bolts and screws go when you reinstall.

if you replace the dash you'll have to replace the center console too
Might want to keep this in mind.

i think its a pain, i pulled a dash from a 93 lx one time to sell it because the car was totaled and swore I would never take one out that i had to put back in, like 88 5.0 said, its a pain in the ****. I dont think the newer dashes bolt up and fit right in pre 87 mustnags. I assume you are talking about changing to a 87-93 style dash.

yeah, same here, I had to take apart my dash for the heater core. AHHH, such fond memories!!! hahaha. no, its not as hard as everyone's making it out to be, its actually somewhat simple, just very time consuming. not many bolts hold in the dash. just a few sensors like the a/c and speedo, tach cables and the others in the instr. cluster need to be disconnected. once the main "dash" is loose, it will start fo fall in line for you. just remember what we've said, replacing the dash means replacind the center console and everything. Good luck! shouldnt take you no more than a few hours.
