why would that be the weak point? what other cams does anyone recomend? I have 2 friends that are using a e- cam and a b and their cars run great and their are still 302's. they rae running 11's , but they are set up for drag racing w/ a c4 and stall convertor. as far them being a problem, I am just going off what local people are saying. everyone is saying bigger is better, but my pistons, crank and rods are not set up for bigger like .6?? lift, 205 valves etc. It is set up for pump gas and the occational drag at the strip on friday nights. Can these heads get a 351 into the 11"s ?
I would say yes if not close to 11's the f cam is the only ford cam id ever buy yes its not a dual pattern cam but it has plenty of lift and durations even on the exhaust side of the cam to perform well from what ihave seen on other peoples mustangs. P's with there higher compression and port work should flow just fine for a 351. You get easily get to 12.0 with that motor in a light mustang.
Okay, this is the wife. Here is MY take on this. Get the car on the road w/ the p heads, put the $1000.00 into the car where it is needed, then upgrade heads a couple months down the road. Sound like a plan? I know aftermarket is better, but I think we need to get the motor in the car then upgrade where we need to to get to the 11's.
