i agree with the wife

seriously though, some of you guys are so chocked full of the crap you hear on here every day that you forget you can make power with ford heads.

in 1969 the 351w had 290 hp with a VERY mild flat tappet cam, a cast iron intake, and exhuast manifolds. the P heads flow better than the GT40's, which flow better than the 69 351w heads. now...... tell me why the GT40p's will choke a 351w?

again, yes aftermarket heads will make more power, but the heads in question will not be choking a 351w with what his current goals are.

that 1000.00 can buy all sorts of other goodies for the motor or chassis to help him finish the project.

I think you may have to drill the head bolt openings too so you can bolt them onto a 351. They may make a head stud that allows you to use 302 heads on a 351 though.

The head bolts have been drilled to a 1/2" hole for the lrger bolt size.

if your just trynig to get the car on the road then the gt40 or p whatever you got will work but for optimal potential i would get aftermarket. around a 200c head.

was that addressed towards me?

also the gt40 heads would make that a torquey motor

also if the gt40 heads will not choke a 351 why was i told over and over again and then again my some very knowledgable people that my old completely reworked e7's was choking my 347? i bet my old e7's was flowing more than gt40's in question

i believe the expression that was told to me "you can't polish a turd"
