is the mgw shifter for the t-5 any good? seems like a pretty good deal, 180.00 i think it is, is it worth it? or am i better off with a hurst or steeda or something like that?

MGW is the best shifter u can buy for a T-5 to my knowledge.... some will argue that the Pro 5.0 is better... but the MGW has a shorter shift and a more adjustable handle with a firmer feel... Pro 5.0 is a good shifter but its second to the MGW im my opinion... many others will agree

I'm looking into the MGW shifter, but on the website it only lists 90+ Mustangs on there. Would the '90-'04 shifter work on a T-5 from an '84 Capri?

Thanks

i got one. i was thinking about the b&m pro ripper, but got an mgw. i looooveee it! it's amazing.
good short thow, positive shifts, and the adjustable handle is great too. go for it. aaand it has everything you need to install it. new bolts, silicone, etc.

It even has Step-by-step instruction....you cannot mess it up

I would recommend the inner shift boot too...it is only like $8, and once you put it on, you will not regret buying it...

yeah i heard that some guys with pro 5.0s can top off their tranny fluid throught the shifter, but the mgw is a solid piece, and they give you instructions that actually make sense!!
