Hello,

I am writing for some help/advice regarding a power window issue inherited with the purchase of a 1992 GT. Here are some specifics on the issue:

1. Passenger side window will not go up:
a. The passenger side power window switch will direct the window down, but not back up.
b. The driver side power window switch will not direct the passenger window up nor down.
2. I have tested all three power window switches by moving each to the driver side window, and they all function well on that window and, therefore, are not considered broken.
3. I have tested the passenger side window motor by reversing the polarity of the wires, and the motor was found to drive the window both up and down without any problems.
4. All wires appear to be touching the switch contacts on both the driver and passenger sides

My question to anyone who knows - is there a relay between the driver and passenger side windows that I should look at, and if so, where can I find the relay. What are the possible causes to this situation?

Hello,

I'm bumping this question for a reply. I recently aquired a 1992 Mustang and the power window will not raise.

I have purchased a power window relay and would like to install it, however, I cannot find it under the steering column or behind the glove box.

My Chilton manual has not arrived yet, so any help and guidance in finding the relay would be much appreciated.
