Default aluminum head question

ok so i looked in the tech articles for torque specs for my studs and for the heads but no luck on the studs and i have a question on the head bolts. are the torque specs the same on an aluminum head as they are on a cast iron head. and how much torque do you put on the rocker studs. a little background i have tfs highports arp head bolt and 1.6 comp cams roller rockers if that makes any difference. thanks

if the rockers are stud mount then you set the lash to 0 then give the lock nut a quarter to half a turn past zero lash then while holding the lock nut with a wrench tighten the allen jam nut as tight as you can but not to excessive you break the allen wrench. I don't think you have pedastal mount cause you asked how tight are the rocker studs suppose to be.

I am no tech...so I followed the Haynes Manual for all torque specs.no problems, and no leaks.

The only torque specs that I followed outside the manual wasfor the heads...I went with the ARP standards

Cannot remember exactly what they were, but they came with the instructions on the ARP bolts...

you want to tighten the polylock until you cant spin the pushrod in your fingers anymore(zero lash) then tighten it an extra 1/2 turn for lifter preload. Then while holding the polylock with a wrench, tighten down the set screw. You need to do this with all the rockers one by one while it is on the base circle of the cam
