question about slicks....which size
I'm about ready to order a set of MT slicks. I'm going to mount them on a set of 10 hole rims.
I leaning towards 26x9x15. Would it make much difference to get the 26x10x15 since the rims are only 7in. wide?
I don't think I will get the full foot print with the 10in wide slicks on a 7inch rim.
Should I just stick with the 9 inch slicks?

Summit racing
I know both sizes will fit on 10 hole rims but I'm just wondering if I'll get the full potential with the 10 inch wide slicks since it will be on a 7in wide rim.

stick with the 9" slicks on those 7 inch rims and you will be fine. I ran 9" ones on 7" rims for several years with no problems. you would need to go to at least an 8" or 9" wide wheel to run the 10" slicks and get the best effect from the extra width.

RE: question about slicks....which size
Well, since air is going to be out of the tire when at the track anyways.
Shouldn't that negate most of the tire to ground issue?
Like wouldnt it have it's normal footprint?
Anyhoo, I'm running the 15x10.5's on my 10 holes.
Think around 11psi?
11-14 can't remember

RE: question about slicks....which size
your're partially correct there OB but the tire industy sets desired standards for wheel width versus tread width and generally they say the wheel width should be plus or minus 1" of the slick tread width. it has to do with the sidewall flexing and all that helps make the tire plant on the line.
Say, you been washing a lot of cars lately?? Ain't seen you around too much in the last week or so.
