Default Ignition Options...

Anyone has a Start button for the ignition in their fox? I know there are kits available for the 05-07 mustangs and I was wondering if it would be possible to put one in my 91 Fox.

Yep, I use one on my '84 racecar.
Wire it into a yellow wire that does the start function.
I got my button at the Napa store, sold as a 'universal starter button'...

And what about the ignition lock? Would I still need the key to be in the on position?

yes, unless you wire it to another switch.
then you gotta worry about the actual steering lock mechanism associated with the key.

too much hassle in my opinion.

I found this on 50Resto.com. But it says it will only fit 05-07 Mustangs. Why? What's so different about it that it wouldn't work in an 87-93 fox?

all it is is a 2 prong switch. input voltage, and output to the starter solenoid.
you can wire it right in, if you know what wires you need to use.

the only reason its states only for 05-07 is because of the hole where it goes.

That's what I thought.
