Default Intake V K&N V Factory.. Need a filter what to do??

http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=57-2511

I have a 94 mustang with the only performance mod being a bassani X pipe with cats bolted to stock headers running to 1 chamber flow masters. I need a new air filter. Currently am running a stock style. How much is an intake and what are the pros cons of them? Remember my car has 109,000 on it but its in great shape.

I noticed intakes have the filter bare... what happens if it were to get soaked with water? Are they water proof? What do you guys reccomend I do? Thanks

I know a guy who put an exhaust and an intake on his car and it would not run afterwards. I think it was a 6cyl fire bird or camaro I want to say around a 98?

I havea BBK fenderwell cold air kiton mine. I was sorta worried about sucking up water in it too, but I've been driving with it on for about 3 years now with no problems. If you want an intake kit you can check out BBK or Mac or go on ebay and find a generic cheapy one, they're all basically the same. If you just want a filter and keep the stock style intake setup just buy a K&N replacement filter for that and make sure you take the air silencer and toss it if its still in there, its useless...

Don't waste your money on that junk.Buy a K&N panel filter that willslide right into the stock air box.

I ran a K&N panel filter on a mid-11sec car. I don't see them as a hinderance until much further down the road.

The filter seems to be alot cheaper than an entire intake. How much horse power will a direct replacement give me? Are there any pros of spending all that extra money for the entire intake? How often do you guys clean your K&N?

Did anyone do a horse power comparison of different itakes? Now Im looking at a K&N system, BBK system, or just a K&N filter in a factory intake. Thanks

You aren't gonna get much of a noticeable difference from any of them. Just buy a k&n filter, and remover the air silencer.
