Usually that's a sign of coolant leaking into the combustion chambers.....generally meaning a warped/cracked head or busted gasket.

And/Or a leakage test if you have access to the tool. Actually tested just three of mine today and they were pushing 10% (9.5 or so) at 139,000, that ain't too shabby. But you'll want to see which side it's coming from and would see if bubbles came up in the radiator.

You don't want to look for bubbles in the radiator. White smoke = cracked head or warped head...or a blown gasket. Heh, your friend thought it does that because it runs good...hehehe I hope he was giving you a hard time, if not - smack the hell out of him with a shovel for us <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

Yeah, but dude, where do you think the air is going to end up when you force the air in the cylinder? Through the blown head gasket, into the water jackets, and eventually to the radiator, the highest point where the air can escape.</P><edited><editID>86HOGT</editID><editDate>37876.9081481481</editDate></edited>

So basically, an air compressor with a fitting for a spark plug thread.

Wow...what a nifty/expensive tool.........reminds me of my brake bleeder. Basically a cap for the brake fluid resivior with a hole punched in it, an air line fed into it, which is attached to an air compressor. Screw that lid on and bam...all 4 bleedin instead of 1 at a time........

And yes, I know air would be in it, but it's one hell of a way to get clean fluid in there fast.
