Window motor removal, please help
i'm having a hard time getting the power window motor out of my driver's side door. i removed the speaker and figured i could get to it this way, but it is held on by a type of clamp i've never seen before. how do i go about getting this thing out without messing anything up?

no rivet gun needed. you will need to take off the door panel. and have the window in the up position. might want to have a tap and drill handy too if you ordered new ones. mine didn't come with the holes tapped with threads for the screws that hold it in.

the window guide bushings are a hassle. you have to remove the bolt from bottom of door and the one behind the panel half way up. then you have to scrape up your knuckles and it's like a puzzle getting the guide out enough to replace them. if you're in there for other stuff spend the time and do them. mine were so bad the window was really loose.

are you talking about a fox? i did this when i bought bushings for my sn95 and it wasn't that difficult at all. took and hour to remove, rebuild and replace both window motors. i have no idea about a fox though....

nah i'm talking about an sn95. what i just bought a new motor tonight because i figure if i'm going to be taking it out, i might as well replace the whole thing since the car is 13 years old and who knows how much longer the motor will last.
does anyone know if there is a website with GOOD instructions on how to do this? one with pictures would be awesome.
