Most of the setimate (sp) will be at the bottom. If the top is not so clean, the bottom will look worse. You're sure the fan clutch is operating properly?

Seems to be, what I mean is it spins the whole time car is running. Harder to spin it by hand when it is warm, it spins more easily by hand when it is cool, does that sound right? I don't see any broken/cracked blades.

i have a 93 gt and it also runs 190 to 210 and is all stock .. i think with your car since you have the mild mods the 180 wont make much of a difference .. if you really want to run cooler id suggest a 3 row radiator .. i put one in an 89 gt i had and no matter how much i beat on it never even hit 200

It's funny you mentioned something about the stock gage showing a hotter temp than the after market gage. I usually run at about 200 but when I have my headlights on the stock gage moves up about 3 to 5 degrees. Turn the lights off and it moves back down. Go figure. I haven't proved it but it might have something to do with the ud pulleys andalternator poweroutput. I am going to upgrade the alternator soon whenI add an electric fan.

Yeah, I think I'll keep my eye out for a good deal on a better radiator, any suggestions? Since it's only a weekend cruiser I'm not in a big rush, but I would like to get it to run a little cooler before I installmy new intake,tb and maf. I like to keep the radiator price under $200,my motor will be under 300hp, no need for overkill on the radiator.

wow! i thought i was the only one with that problem. i was like 'why does my car run hotter at night?' then i realized it was only when the headlights were on. i doubt the alternator will make a difference. i'm running a 100 amp and it does it. i think it is the voltage regulator for the gauge cluster that might be going bad.
