Default 1/4 Mile

The track near me opens again in march and i plan on having the following mods: 373 gears, 73mm MAF with cold air intake, 65mm throttle body, 2.5in xpipe wit hi flow cats and flowmaster cat back and pro 50 short shifter. I also have new 17 in rims wit new tires. When i raced the last time it was completely stock with bald tires and i ran 14.8, What do u think i can run wit those mods??

if you dont want to disappoint yourself, get some drag radials, just try and borrow some, those heavy *** chrome wheels will slow you down too

Why does everyone say "on bald tires"? That is so funny... I highly doubt a completely stock GT could run any better than that with really good street tires, I am just not sure If I believe that 'bald tire' stuff...

Maybe he meant his tires were bald and he spun like hell and it hurt his 1/4 times??

Ok so that would mean a STOCK GT 5.0 would run what? 14.3 STOCK?? HIGHLY doubtful! That was my point.. They run in the 15 range stock, which is what he ran, on 'bald' tires I guess.

I got my rims from groupawheels.com. the rims didnt feel any heavier than the stock ponies, i know there not chrome, just the face and lip are machined clear coat. when i say bald tires i mean they're bald and i spun bad so i figure with new street tires i would b able to run better than with bald street tires. i know slicks would give me better times but i just wanna take it to the track and race it as my street car to see what it runs that way.
