Out of idea's
so ok. for the past 2 months the car has been on the sidelines cuz it had no oil pressure.
so now i went out and bought a new oil pump, put it in and still hardley any pressure.
Not to mention it sounds like 2 skeletons fuking on a tin roof.
The block was hot tanked in january and the pick up tube was soaked in kerosene then blown out. Since the fresh
rebuild and start up(May 07) the car has ran for about 3 weeks total. the rest of the time
its been in the carport torn apart. Any idea's?

maybe something let go, a main bearing possible. Have you done a compression test. What was done as far as the rebuild goes.

im using 10w40 and the motor isnt shot. It runs and it has oil pressure just not where it should be. once warmed up it should be at 25. its only at 15 or so. cold start should be 50, its at 40-45. this is causing a rod knock wen its warmed up. I'm out of ideas. wish i could sell it but who wants to buy a car that doesnt run right?

Did they remove the lifter gallery plugs? If they were removed for cleaning then not pressed back in the oil isn't going to get past your timing chain, = no pressure

Pull the pan and one by one take the main and rods loose.... Feel the crank to make sure its still smooth, then put plasti-gauge in there and see what the clearances are.... Do that then tell me what you got.
