Default EFI upgrade

Just bought a1993 mustang 5.0 convertible, and want to buy some bolt on upgrades. I was looking at newEFI Intake Manifolds and TB's.Would buying a new EFI help? and will a 75 mm TB work on a stock 5.0?

I wouldn't waste your money with those upgrades just yet. There are other, wiser ways to spend your money to get better results. But first, can you give us some info on exactly what you have? Is it 100% bone stock or do you have a few minor upgrades like exhaust or CAI? Manual or auto?

What's your budget look like? That will be a big factor as well. But for the basics...

First mod... gears. Get a set of 3.73s for t rear end. That will help a great deal with acceleration. It won't add HP / TQ but it sure will feel like it. Next, I'd go with full exhaust. Ditch those restrictive stock headers and go for something else. You can get a decent set from Summit for $99. Then a good midpipe (x-pipe or h-pipe) with either no cats or high flow cats. I just got an x-pipe with high flow cats for just under $300. And finish up your exhaust with a decent catback setup. A Cold Air Intake would help a bit. And a set of underdrive pullies will add a few ponies too.

If you don't want to put a CAI on, then at the very least, remove the air silencer. Then advance the timing from the base 10 degrees BTDC to somewhere around 14-16 degrees BTDC. Both of those mods are free and they will free up 15 or so HP.

If you have a little extra money to spend, then grab cylinder heads, a camshaft, and a new intake. You can get GT40 heads and an intake from an old Ford Explorer in a junkyard for $200 - $250. Then buy a Steeda #19 camshaft for $200 more. That will land you with a new top end for about $400 total, and that will bring some good power. Then there's always the supercharger, turbocharger, nitrous, etc.

I wouldn't bother with the TB until you do some serious mods. And you already have a decent 70mm MAF.
