Default F'ing Cop car

I swear this is the biggest money pit in the world. Everything on this car was slap worn out and the more I replace, the more I find worn out. I just rebuilt the motor and got it all together and back in Changed a few things around (elec fan, 3 core rad) but nothing to the drivetrain. The motor has been completly blueprinted and balanced and everything was seeming fine for the first test drive last night. It drove fine in 1st-5th until I hit 70 mph. The car started shaking violently. I really noticed it in the gear shifter, it was vibrating so bad you couldnt even hold onto it. I have rebuilt the engine and rearend (changed to 3.73:1) but done nothing to trans or front end. Any Suggestions of where to start?

could be wheel balance, could be driveline mounts, could be the dampner on the rear end, could be ujoints.

bad u joint
or driveshaft was put back in backwards. need to make sure you mark d/s's when removing
so can reinstall like it was.

Motor mounts are new(convertable mounts) and the u-joints are new too. Wheels a tires are new and balanced. So I will look into the driveshaft, Alum shaft does sound nice. What are the gains from this?

less rotational mass (frees torque), lighter (less overall wieght), and reportedly stronger. oh and it doesnt rust so it looks nice too. does this shaking happen in neutral too? you can isolate the problem by eliminating factors.

no only when you hit 70 and it gets worse as speed increases. From idle to 60 its smooth as a babys ***

if you are already rolling at 70+mph, it shakes. but, if at that speed you put it in neutral does it change? if it does then it is probably related to the engine in some way. if not then it can be anything from a tranny mount to an unbalanced wheel, driveshaft, or something else in the drivetrain.
